Ozeki was established in 1711 in Imazu, Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture. A renowned sake brewery with a history spanning over 300 years, located in a region synonymous with sake production in Japan, Nadagogo. The unique geological features of the region give rise to a special brewing water known as miyami. This hard water is abundant in minerals and has an optimal balance of components, including low iron content, which stimulates yeast fermentation. Ozeki is well-known for introducing the concept of 'One Cup' sake to Japan, a single-serving format that has since become widely popular. Located right next to the brewery, the Sekijuan shop offers a delightful selection of sweets made with sake and sake lees. Additionally, you can indulge in paid sake tastings.
The most well-known sake from Ozeki. The product “One Cup” was created based on the concept of selling cups as containers for alcoholic beverages.
