Established in 1865, Chiyomusubi Sake Brewery is a sake brewery in Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture, an area that has thrived for centuries as a vital port on the Sea of Japan. This area is also a major tourist destination, thanks to the ever-popular Shigeru Mizuki Road, named after the creator of the comic and animated series GeGeGe no Kitaro. Most of the rice used for sake brewing is locally sourced from Tottori Prefecture, and we practice sake brewing that is rooted in local traditions. There is a wide range of products on offer, including Japanese sake, Japanese whisky, gin and shochu, which are also popular with international customers.
The factory's interior, dating back to 1945, features a row of traditional fermentation tanks.
