Established in 1917, Mifuku Sake Brewery is nestled in the historical region of Omi (Shiga Prefecture) in the city of Koga. This area, called Minakuchi, was once a bustling staging post station during the Edo period and the 50th station on the Tokaido road that connected Edo to Kyoto. Our brewery’s guiding philosophy is to give back to society and build sake culture by brewing exquisite, premium sake in a region blessed with abundant natural beauty and mountainous terrain. We continue to produce sake using the traditional natural brewing method of yamahai that has been handed down through generations, while also exploring ginjo sake through the application of new technologies and equipment, all while respecting our traditions. We value the communication fostered through sake culture and are flexible in accommodating tours, adjusting to the number of participants and specific requests.
Located along the Tokaido Road, the 50th post town, Minakuchi.
