"Gift from a Japanese Candle Maker" Hand Cream
This hand cream is made from haze (Japanese sumac), the same material used in traditional Japanese candles. Unlike paraffin or petroleum-based candles, haze wax is a natural material that is gentle on the skin.
Historically, haze wax has been used by maiko (apprentice geishas) and kabuki actors as a base for their makeup. The cream is highly spreadable, and a small amount can cover a large area. When applied, you'll notice its smooth texture, offering excellent hydration while remaining light and non-greasy.
The cream also has a subtle fragrance—it’s not completely fragrance-free, but the scent is delicate and gentle, making it suitable for use in any setting.
