Kyoto Yawata Jungle River SUP Experience
Enjoy SUP (standup paddleboarding) at Hachiman Sewaritei (Yodogawa Park, Sawaritei district), famous as the Kansai region's best spot for cherry blossoms in spring when the roughly 250 Yoshino cherry trees bloom. Even outside the cherry blossom season, enjoy the beautiful blessings of nature here through every season. The jungle between the Katsura River and Uji River is inhabited by rare plants and wild birds. Travel right through the middle of this vast forest for truly extraordinary scenery on a jungle river cruise! While looking out on Mt. Tennozan and other majestic mountains from the water, enjoy the picturesque confluence of the Uji River, Kizu River, and Katsura River that together become the Yodogawa River, a totally unique scene woven by nature itself. (There is not enough time to visit the three-river confluence during the standard Sewaritei Sakura SUP Tour. Please take the Down River Tour for that experience.) 5-minute walk from the Keihan Electric Railway Iwashimizu-hachimangu Station. Also located near the highway interchange, making it easily accessible from both Kyoto and Osaka!
