Leave the car at roadside station "Shihara Kaigan" and walk 15 minutes to Torike Caves. Two large holes created by a miracle of nature. You can only access these mystical caves at low tide. This view of the wide-open caves facing the sea is a beautiful scene you can't see anywhere else. The caves are designated as a "Geosite" of Nanki Kumano Geopark, an educational highlight from which you can learn how this area came about in the first place
