Located on the shores of the magnificent Lake Biwa, Biwako Hotel's Tempura Ohmi restaurant is just 15 minutes from Kyoto Station by Special Rapid Service train. The chef fries the tempura right in front of you as you sit at the kappo counter. Tempura made with seasonal seafood, vegetables from Shiga Prefecture, and other seasonal ingredients carefully selected by our chef, paired with local sake from Shiga. This unique pairing dinner allows you to enjoy authentically Japanese tempura, its history, and the flavors of each sake as you listen to explanations regarding the flavors of the sake. The menu options change depending on the season.
