Located just a two-minute walk from Kyoto Station, the hotel The Thousand Kyoto displays a variety of contemporary artworks in the public spaces of the hotel. This guided tour will take you around seven such art pieces. Each of them has been made by a contemporary artist, using the nature of Kyoto as a motif. Those who take part in the art tour will receive a souvenir as a gift. *The image shows one such example. Some of the artworks we show you may change due to events, etc.

The hotel's symbolic art piece "wind_form" by WOW/Six fans blow air from below onto beautifully translucent organdy, creating an impression of softness as it slowly transforms and changes shape. You can sense the "universality" and "eternity" that exists in the consciousness of all people.
