The first experience of meditation at a Buddhist temple. (Medicinal dishes included)

Meditation is said to relieve stress and soothe the body and mind through its focus on breathing and relaxation. The female monks will provide gentle guidance on the practice, eliminating any need to worry even for those who have never meditated. Visitors can also tour the main hall of Fukushoji Temple, reconstructed 200 years ago under the guidance of the temple priestess, and learn about the way to offer prayers in Buddhist temples. The meditation experience includes a careful explanation of the correct posture, breathing techniques and more. After the meditation, there is also a lunch of healing vegetarian shojin-ryori cuisine. Visitors can also try their hands at "eating meditation," as a type they can put into practice in their regular lives. Opening oneself to the senses and focusing on food grants an opportunity for realization to blossom within the self.
