Ride like the wind along the Yura River levee on an e-bike and look down on Fukuchiyama Castle as you go. Travel by Sandanike Park, the Inozaki Castle Ruins and the Akechi-yabu levee, with a view of Fukuchiyama Castle (built by samurai Akemichi Mitsuhide) along the way. After a stroll through Fukuchiyama Castle, guests can enjoy visiting longstanding shops the locals love in the retro shopping arcade and the remains of the old castle town – complete with traditional street layouts and Machiya-style townhomes. For a lunch made with local ingredients, stop by the popular restaurant in a remodeled old merchant's home. The tour then visits the Fukuchiyama City Flood Control Memorial Hall, then stops by Goryo-jinja shrine – where the remains of Akechi Mitsuhide are enshrined – before concluding. The guide then leaves, and guests can ride the e-bikes where they like for the remainder of the time. Please return e-bikes by 5:00 PM. Join us and learn the history of Fukuchiyama and feel for yourself the evolution of the castle town since Mitsuhide's era. E-bikes are power assist sports cycles. Fun for all ages and genders with an exciting day out cycling!
