We keep an aquarium stocked with Akoya pearl oysters from the seas of Ise for 24-hour availability. Pearls – natural treasures, each one distinct from the next. Experience the joy and surprise of finding a pearl in a shellfish yourself in the pearl extraction experience, where you remove pearls from living shellfish. We hope everyone grows a bit more fond of pearls and more eager to use them regularly through the pearl extraction experience. Each Akoya pearl extracted is entirely unique, and can be kept after brief processing into a pendant, broach, pin, or other accessory of your design by our experienced artisans (finished items may be delivered to your hotel later that day during fully scheduled days). Take home a gemstone of the sea that will always shine alongside the memory of your trip. Guests who choose to wait on the processing of their pearls can also view some of the other fine pearl works Ise-Shima is renowned for. Conveniently located close to major sightseeing destinations

- Met at Kikuchi Pearl, observe samples of metal fittings, choose Akoya pearls from the tank, extract pearls from shells using specialized tools, select accessory fittings, and our staff will process them. During this time, you can also explore the store.
