Experience the hospitality of Jiko-in Temple
The Jiko-in Temple Gardens are a designated National Site of Scenic Beauty. As one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan, they are also an important cultural treasure. This garden was created by Sekishu Katagiri, who learned the tea ceremony from Sosen Kuwayama, a descendant of Sen no Rikyu, and was known as a superior tea master in the Edo period. In this special plan, you can listen to a talk from the resident priest while taking in a view of the garden, and enjoy matcha and sweets at Shinsho-in. Learn the ins and outs of Japanese hospitality in a place out of the norm.
