The Great Purification Prayer (Oharae no Kotoba) is a prayer to cleanse oneself of all the sins and impurities that have piled onto the self without one even realizing it. By copying the words of the prayer in the tranquil sanctuary of the shrine, you will be able to clear your mind of all distractions and attain inner peace.
