Ama Hut SATOUMIAN
What is an Ama hut? It is a place where tired Ama divers can rest after fishing and warm up by a fire. An Ama hut is also a place where they prepare to go fishing and get changed. In the middle is a traditional fireplace where you can place wood to get warm and indulge in a meal and conversation between fishing in the morning and afternoon. SATOUMIAN’s Ama hut experience lets you enjoy conversation about fishing as an Ama diver and the sea with current and retired Ama divers over a meal in a hut made to resemble the original Ama huts. It is open for lunch and dinner, so you can hear precious stories from Ama divers while enjoying a meal of seafood caught from the Ise-Shima sea. The food tastes even better when you have an authentic hut atmosphere as it is cooked using charcoal.
