Take photos and experience the tea ceremony at a 1200-year-old tea house in Tambasasayama

Tanba-Sasayama City is a basin with frequent fog, with a climate and soil suitable for tea cultivation. It is also a historic tea production region dating back to the Heian period. Tanba tea is the largest producer in the prefecture and is even mentioned in the Japan Heritage song “Dekansho Bushi.” In the natural landscape of Tanba-Sasayama, you can enjoy a tea maiden experience that is perfect for taking photos, a tea field guide and tour with local producers, and a tea tasting experience where you can learn about the delicious brewing methods and trivia of Tanba-Sasayama tea from a Japanese tea instructor.
