In the Asuka period, the village of Asuka was the stage for Japan becoming a nation. Under the theme of time, this program visits “Japan's Starting Point,” including the site of Japan's first water clock and Japan's first authentic Buddhist temple. You can also enjoy activities such as a forest bathing experience at Asuka Historical National Government Park during the tour. At Asuka Village’s top scenic spot, “Amakashi no Oka,” you can enjoy breakfast and freshly roasted coffee, even though the use of fire is usually strictly prohibited. The breakfast is a special menu that is a modern version of the menu and ingredients used by the Asuka aristocracy, and it also accommodates vegans.
