Wadada
An okonomiyaki restaurant run by a senior manager with over 40 years of experience in this field. It is gaining popularity, especially among locals, as an authentic Osaka "konamon" (flour-based cuisine) can be tasted in Wakayama.
They are very particular about their ingredients. For example, the dough is made from a blend of five different types of flour, including wheat flour. Use beef tendon is made from Japanese black beef, specifically ordered pork belly cut into 5mm slices and vegetables are also purchased daily by themselves.
You can enjoy both "Kasane-Yaki (layered grilled okonomiyaki)" and "Maze-Yaki(mixed grilled okonomiyaki) at Wadada
Both are Osaka-style okonomiyaki, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The layered okonomiyaki with scallions is finished with locally produced Yuasa soy sauce. The mix-yaki okonomiyaki is made with a balance of flour and cabbage, and the temperature of the teppan grill is carefully selected to provide the "best taste." The restaurant also offers a wide variety of teppan-yaki dishes such as Tonpei-yaki, fried spinach with butter, and salted grilled offal. The omelet, which is cooked at a low temperature on the teppan, is also well-reputed.
