Ikoma-no-himatsuri
The festival is popularly known as a fire festival and features Mikoshi-no-togyo (carrying portable shrines), Kagura (Shinto music and dance) and Hitori (igniting the fire) dedicated to the Ikoma Jinja. At the climax of the festival, four big torches made of Japanese pampas grass are ignited.
