Hyakkoku Odori
The origin of Hyakkoku Odori, a name of the dance for this event, is the success story of a temple’s priest who prayed for rain maiking a long time ago. After more than a hundred days of dry weather, it started to rain on the next day when many boys and girls appeared and danced around him in his dream.
