Saeki Toro-matsuri
Saekitoro
The origin of the festival is said to celebrate the fact that a lantern was given to Hiedano Shrine by Kyoto Imperial Palace a long time ago. The festival features Ningyo-joruri (Japanese puppet drama) using 30 centimeter high puppets performed in the shrine office.
