Katsube Shrine Fire Festival
Hi-matsuri
About 800 years ago an emperor fell ill and a fortuneteller said that a monster dragon living in a marsh was the reason. So they killed and burned the dragon. The young men danced wildly around the burning dragon and the Emperor recovered. That’s how the festival started.
