A disaster prevention and management station, situated in the west of the Osaka Region. The station focuses on educating the public about the causes and effects of tsunamis and tidal surges, and also teaches how to take preventive action to help prevent and mitigate loss of life and property when a disaster strikes. Visitors can also learn about current research on the predicted Tonankai and Nankai Great Earthquake and earthquakes in general to help prepare for future events.
