Hataganaru Forest Trail Hike
【Description】
The town of Shinonsen's name means "new hot spring," so it's no surprise it's known for the local spring water. Did you know that there are numerous waterfalls around the Ueyama Kogen Highland to the south? In this activity, you'll have a fun time hiking the forest trails to see five waterfalls: Omengataki, Tsurutaki, Koketaki, Kametaki and Sarutsubo-no-taki. It's a relatively gentle course that novice hikers will find a simple challenge. During the hike, you can have an intimate experience with the changing of the seasons, whether it's the new greenery of spring, the colorful leaves of autumn or the cool air in summer. Other courses traverse the Komatagawa River Valley and the Kirigataki River Valley.
