Genbudo Cave Park Information Center

Displays exhibit materials relating to basalt, the rock that forms Genbudo Cave. An interactive touchscreen provides visiting tourists an accessible and educational presentation on the cave, where you can see rare geological formations such as basalt columnar jointing. Touch the liquid-crystal screen to bring up information on the large monitor. Your navigator will be popular local mascot Gen-san, who will tell you about the cave's features, global discoveries, the Geopark and more. Plus, Genbudo Cave guides are always on-hand so you can learn even more. (Groups require a reservation. Call the Toyo'oka Tourism Association at 0796-22-8112.)
