【Description】
This waterfall is located at the end of the Hataganaru Kogen Highland on the north side of Mt. Oginosen. The 65-meter-high waterfall is at an elevation of 750 meters. It covers the layer of breccia rock (accumulated from debris flows) below as it sweeps into the valley below. The water spills from a 20-meter-wide andesite gorge that leads higher up Mt. Ogino. The water does not produce a plunge pool because it turns to mist midway down. Hyogo Prefecture has designated the waterfall a natural monument and place of scenic beauty. It is also one of the three great waterfalls of Tajima.
