Heisenji Hakusan Shrine

This shrine, a base of worship toward the sacred Mt. Hakusan, was founded about 1,300 years ago. In addition to being a hallowed site of mountain worship, the shrine sits amid gorgeous scenery. Vibrantly green moss covers the stone-paved path up to the shrine. In fact, the path is one of the 100 great paths of Japan.
