Imakumano Kannon-ji Temple

The principal image here is of the Buddhist deity of mercy Kannon. The statue, produced by the monk Kobo Daishi, is rarely shown to the public. The temple is the 15th stop on the Saikoku Kannon Pilgrimage of 33 Buddhist temples in the Kansai region.
