The main festival day is on October 15, when enthusiastic shrine parishioners take part in the main ritual of the festival, a ceremonial procession to the Otabi-jinja, before the three or four yatai portable shrines are paraded and returned to Matsubara Hachiman Shrine as the sun sets.
