The Osaka Prefectural Archive of Kamigata Comedy and Performing Arts is the only facility of its kind in Japan, and was founded to preserve and promote traditional performing arts from the region, to provide somewhere where Osakans can learn about them, and thereby contribute to the development of Osaka's culture.
In order to spread knowledge of the performing arts to overseas visitors too, the Archive is offering them the chance to take part in performing arts workshops.
The workshops allow participants to learn about manzai comedy, the rakugo, kodan, and rokyoku styles of storytelling, the history of performing arts, and even the most enjoyable ways to watch them.
More details on the workshops will be published on Osaka Prefectural Archive of Kamigata Comedy and Performing Arts' website.
