This plateau formed from lava above an elevation of 1,000 meters is rampant with alpine vegetation including beech, chestnut, mountain ash and chishima zasa. You can see an amazing landscape of susuki grass and colorful leaves in the fall. If the weather cooperates, you can take in a 360-degree view that includes the Sea of Japan.
