【Description】
Shinonsen Town San'in Kaigan Geopark Center is a museum built to stimulate the local economy, provide educational content and help develop the community's culture. Visitors can explore a collection of materials about the Geopark that are stored and exhibited here, and also join hands-on educational activities. Inside is a mural providing a basic explanation of the geological layers along the San'in Coast, as well as displays of various rocks from the park's Geosites (i.e. geological heritage) such as basalt, andesite and volcanic tuff. Instructors are also on-hand to help visitors of all ages enjoy an interactive educational experience that explores the Geopark from many different angles.
