Kushimoto Marine Park was Japan's first designated marine park when it opened in July 1970. Heavily influenced by the Kuroshio Current, the waters here are warm all year round, and visitors can see creatures from temperate and subtropical climates, as well various species of coral. In the park aquarium, visitors can learn about the sea and its living things, as well as view natural underwater states through the undersea tower and undersea sighsteeing boat.
