The secluded Oku-Iya Niju Kazurabashi Bridges offer incredible views in an undisturbed atmosphere. The bridges are said to have been built by the Heike clan so that they could access their horse-riding grounds at Mt. Tsurugi. There are two bridges, the Obashi and the Mebashi, which together, are affectionately known as Meotobashi, or the husband-and-wife bridges. Nearby, visitors can pull themselves across a stream in a suspended wooden cart known as a yaen. The area is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Oku-Iya valley.
