Shiga Prefecture Samegai Trout Farm

Established in 1878, the Samegai Trout Farm is located in the scenic Samegai valley, and is one of the oldest such facilities in Japan. The facility farms rainbow trout, red-spotted masu trout, and Japanese char, and visitors can purchase and take home the fish they catch.
