Maiko Marine Promenade (Maiko Park)/Akashi Kaikyo Bridge
The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge links Kobe and Awaji Island. It has a total length of 3,911 meters, and boasts the world’s longest central span at 1,991 meters. At night the bridge is illuminated, and the stunning sight of these colorful lights crossing the strait has earned it the nickname “Pearl Bridge.” Underneath the bridge is the Maiko Marine Promenade, a viewing facility that offers fantastic views of the Seto Inland Sea.
