Sekisemimaru-jinja Shrine
As the master biwa player Semimaru was enshrined here, the shrine came to be a place of worship for those seeking good fortune in music and the arts. The hexagonal-shaped shigure toro lanterns next to the worship hall of the lower shrine are important cultural properties from the Kamakura period. At the entrance to the shrine grounds stands the Seki-shimizu stone monument, which was made famous in a poem by Ki no Tsurayuki.
