Hashiguiiwa Rocks and Cape Shionomisaki
Kushimoto is known for its beautiful seaside landscape. The Hashiguiiwa Rocks in particular, which are a group of pointed rocks standing in line for 850 meters on the seashore, make for magnificent scenery. The Shionomisaki Kanko Tower also stands at the southernmost point of Cape Shionomisaki, which juts out into the Pacific Ocean. The 360-degree panoramic view of the horizon and mountain ranges from the tower gives the impression of a truly spherical earth. You can also enjoy whale watching nearby.
