Ikosai Aisu, a member of the Aisu clan that resided at Gokasho Castle, is respected by kendo enthusiasts as the founder of kendo. Aisu no Yakata is a museum that contains exhibits, such as historical documents and every day articles which have come to be regarded as folk art on culture and kendo, which bears the name of the Aisu family. The museum also has collections of archeological and folk materials and holds exhibitions.
