Mt. Shichi
This mountain has a base of pyroclastic rock that also runs elsewhere through Tottori, as well as a layer of sandstone and mudstone specific to Mt. Shichi, both of which formed during the Miocene Epoch of the Neogene Period. This base is covered by lava that dates back to the Pliocene Epoch.
[Access] Approx. 18 min. on the Nihon Kotsu Bus toward Tottori Station (Iwami/Iwai route) from Iwami Station on the JR San'in Main Line, and an approx. 17 min. walk from the Hirano-guchi bus stop
