Chubu Children's Kingdom at the Tottori Sand Dunes opened in 1968, for the 100th anniversary of the Meiji restoration, to give kids a place to play among greenery in the sun under an open sky. The intent is for children to use their ingenuity, while being active to develop strong and healthy bodies and facilitate their emotional development as well. The park reopened with a new look in March 2000. On the spacious 19-hectare grounds amid the natural surroundings between a couple of the grand Tottori Sand Dunes, the kids can play on large obstacle courses, get in the water, drive battery-powered cars, or join a workshop on woodworking or sand crafts, go camping, and so much more! Your children can play to their heart's content, use their imagination, learn and develop healthier bodies.
