Amedaki Falls
The andesite produced by volcanic activity around the time of the Sea of Japan's formation at Amedaki Falls was later covered with lava from an eruption by Mt. Oginosen. This lava hardened to create the waterfall here today. Since ancient times, this area has been used for ascetic training, and it eventually became a place of worship for pilgrims.
