Umeda Sky Building is a twin-tower skyscraper standing 173 meters above ground, with a total of 40 floors. The two towers of this world-famous building are linked at the top by a Kuchu Teien Observatory. The view from the observatory is one of Osaka’s most popular—it has been selected as a Night View Heritage of Japan and among Japan’s Best 100 Sunsets. At the foot of the building is the Chu-Shizen-no-Mori, an expansive green space with streams and small waterfalls, and plenty of negative ions! The building’s restaurant area is reminiscent of an early Showa period streetscape, and with an array of Osaka cuisine, is especially popular among foreign tourists.
