This museum was opened on October 31, 1989 in a building donated by the Yaesu Book Center, established by locally born dignitary, Dr. Morinosuke Kajima. The history of the area is introduced here, from ancient to modern times through a variety of exhibits, including replica items, panels, and authentic preserved objects.

■Admission fee  Adults: 200 yen (150 yen per person for group admissions)
         Children to university students: 100 yen (60 yen per person for group admissions)
         Seniors (65 and over): 100 yen

■Access     1.6km from JR Hontatsuno Station on the JR Kishin Line
          500m from the Shinki Bus Tatsuno bus stop
