World Heritage Site Kumano Hongu Taisha, Sacred Place of Kumano Kodo, Kumano Hongu Taisha: Night of the Honden FestivalART event to experience the splendor of life at a sacred place in Japan

The art video work "LIFE®︎ Re-experiencing Birth" will be screened at a sacred place in Japan where the wisdom of our ancestors has been accumulated, to enhance the power of "life" and to embody the ideal of a wellbeing society 10 to 100 years from now.
On the night of the main shrine festival, a special screening, talk and singing of "LIFE®︎ Re-experiencing Birth" will be held at Kumano Hongu Taisha Osaibara.
About the Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine Festival:
Kumano Hongu Taisha Shrine was founded over 2,050 years ago.
Kumano Hongu Taisha, Kumano Hayatama Taisha, and Kumano Nachi Taisha are collectively called Kumano Sanzan, and among them Kumano Hongu Taisha is the center of the Kumano Sanzan and the head shrine of the 4,700 "Kumano Shrines" throughout Japan, and is a historic shrine that has earned the title of "the first great spiritual center of Japan, Kumano Sanshokongen.
On April 15, the day of the screening event, the Honden Festival, which has been held at Kumano Hongu Taisha for more than 2,000 years, will be held at the Kumano Hongu Taisha.
The many rituals performed in the solemn atmosphere of this "Hondensai" are the most important events of Kumano Hongu Taisha.
