Here there are areas where you can experience, learn about, or view exhibits on knives, incense sticks, chusen dyeing, rugs, seaweed, bicycles and confectionery, a shop where you can buy superb items and products from Sakai, and the Sakai Knife Museum, allowing you to come into contact with the traditional industries of Sakai.

Inside you will find areas where you can experience, learn about, or view exhibits on not only knives but also incense sticks, chusen dyeing, rugs, seaweed, bicycles and confectionery, as well as a shop where you can buy superb items from each industry and products with connections to Sakai. There is also the Sakai Knife Museum, that exhibits and retails a variety of rare knives and knives for professional use.
This is your chance to come into contact with the variety of traditional industries in Sakai, starting with traditional Sakai knives that are said to be used by 90% of professional chefs.
On the first floor you will find the “Master’s Square,” where you can experience, learn about, or view exhibits on knives, incense sticks, chusen dyeing, rugs, seaweed, bicycles and confectionery, as well as the shop “Sakai Ichi” where you can buy superb item and products from Sakai. On the second floor is the Sakai Knife Museum, which exhibits examples from the knife making process, various kinds of knife, and knives made in Sakai.
