1. Tondabayashi Jinaimachi

Tondabayashi was a key transport point where highways cross, and prospered as the main business district in Minamikawachi. With the area having been dense with town houses from the mid- 17th century through to around the 19th century, the entire town was selected as an area for the preservation of important traditional buildings of Japan.

2. Osaka Prefectural Sayamaike Museum

A museum relating to Japan’s oldest reservoir “Sayamaike”. Highlights include a display of a cross- section of an enormous embankment where approximately 1,400 years of strata have accumulated, and a water- themed construction by the architect Tadao Ando.

3. Cluster of historic buildings along old Koya- kaido road

“Koya- Kaido Road”was once used as a road pilgrimage from Kyoto and Osaka to Mt. Koya. Even now there are lines of charming town houses along this road, which is dotted with traditional townscapes.

4. Sudare Museum

Kawachinagano City is one of the representative producing areas of Osaka Kongo Sudare, which is designated as traditional handicraft. Here the unusual damboo screens of Japan and overseas along with equipment and materials on production methods once used for producing bamboo screens are on display

5. Kawachi wine- kan

Sells products of the Kawachi winery established more than 80 years ago, and you can sample the 20 types of wine and plum sake. You can also view wine undergoing fermentation and the production processes at the in- house winery.
